USA to Australia

Project Target: Delivery of 4 x MG sets
Origin: Evansville, Indiana, United States
Destination: Moranbah Basin, North Queensland, Australia

Scope of Work TGI with its partner Transgroup Projects USA were awarded the transport and delivery of 4 x MG sets for two draglines from Evansville Indiana USA to Moranbah basin this year. Each unit weighed 92000 kilos and were shipped from the factory via road transport to the port of Baltimore, then to Brisbane via Oceanfreight.

The shipment arrived in two parts with the first arriving in June this year and the balance arriving two weeks ago. TGI was commissioned by Transgroup Projects USA to deliver the cargo from the wharf in Brisbane through to the site in North Queensland. The operation was a complete success and our operations team handled the project with great ease and professionalism.

For each delivery TGI team leader Juan Solano arrived early onsite at Brisbane port to ensure that the lifting off of the units was done correctly and that all cargo was secured as per our clients instruction. Each piece was transported to site on a an 8 line multi axle platform trailer and delivered to both mine sites without any issues.

TGI was responsible for the cranes and transport at the port of Brisbane along with delivery and customs clearance. Customs Manager Nicoll Demo was proactively working with the supplier and end user, researching all the bylaws and tariff concessions that applied to this type of cargo.

TGI`s partner Transgroup Projects USA is a specialist Project cargo company like TGI and prides itself on absolute perfection on each job no matter how big or small.

TGI and Transgroup have also been awarded the third shipment of these units which will be arriving in late October 2013.
