Case Study

Titan Chemicals Plant

In late 2010 TGI was awarded the Titan Chemicals plant refit and maintenance project. The project lasted for 90 days and was huge success.

Our Malaysian office had bid for the job and was awarded based on our ideas and solutions for the project. TGI utilised its Purchase Order Manager systems for the project which allowed for daily updates on the 350 purchase orders that were issued.

TGI was responsible for all inbound shipments from around the globe, including the largest pieces for the project which came from Denver in the United States by AN 124. Team leader Halimah Abu Baker organised the charter and made sure all areas of the operation were covered, including the customs clearance and delivery in Malaysia. Along with our operations manage Mr Jaggan Nagalingam, Halimah also managed the smooth delivery from supplier in the north of the USA through to the airport in Denver.

The cargo arrived as scheduled and the unloading operations commenced. Cargo was delivered 5 hours later to Titan Chemical. TGI also did some very large airfreight on the project as well as a large number of breakbulk and container shipments.

The job would not have been possible without the dedication and commitment from the team in Malaysia. Well done Halimah, Jaggan and Mala who handled the entire project from start to finish.
