Case Study

US Federal Government

Project Target: Power station
Origin: Brisbane, Australia
Destination: As Samawah, Iraq (as part of rebuild Iraq program)

Scope of Work – Disassembly, removal and delivery of 3,900 tonnes of cargo to conflict-affect Iraq, including 2 × 135 tonne pieces. This was a high security project involving global logistics and carefully controlled transport.

On arrival into Kuwait, TGI managed the storage, road transport and cranes for the 560 kilometre journey to Iraq. The road was extremely hazardous with live fire and bridge destruction forcing rapid deviation for the cargo. We organised our own security and transported 140 truck loads to the final destination, including specialised trucks and trailers, some not able to exceed 30km/h.

TIMEFRAME – 12 weeks
RESULT – The project was delivered on time without any injuries, deaths or loss of cargo.
